So shoot me already. The party was called off due to some lame people at my job who have no faith in us selling tickets. The people who were spreading that rumor just so happen to be in my personal hate parade. (Get promoted 5 times in a year and you'll have one too, it's this close to being a hate city,.... I shall call it Haterville!) They honestly believed that not even 20 people would show up. Even before we could advertise it. So they booked another event and closed us out. Its all good, because they'll just be missing out on money, and I'll put something together for next year, even if I have to buy the space myself. In fact I have a co-worker who's going to go in on it with me. We're going to charge $75 a head, $100 per couple, and if 100 show up, thats $10,000. And I've got some new friends in high places so I know I'll sell at least that. So either that money's the hotel's or its mine. We shall see what happens.
